Wishy Washy Wednesday. Lots of audio clips with the panel discussion and a few of my opinions sprinkled in.
Wednesday, October 14, 2026 · 52 min
Wednesday's show from the worldwide headquarters ran late thanks to road construction and then lost the panel audio on the live feed, so what you get is one side of a conversation about the Trump-Putin diesel arrangement, Zelensky's drone strikes on Russian oil fields, whether there's an ace up the sleeve we're not being shown, and what's quietly happening with Iran. Billy Bob calls in, the talk turns to immigration fraud allegations, campaign finance, and why anybody would be intimidated by ICE at a polling place if they're allowed to be there. The back half is audio clips with commentary: Hassan Piker reading off a screen during an interview, a Mamdani event, Kyle Kalinsky calling something a psyop, and Steve Martin's nonconformist oath.

Show notes
Late start, dead inputs, and a panel the live audience couldn't hear. The show still happened. Trump and Putin on oil, Zelensky hitting the oil fields after being told not to, Iran's supposed two weeks, a call from Billy Bob, and a run of audio clips to close it out.
- Ten minutes stuck behind a flag person on what was supposed to be the shortcut. The 5.1 mile drive to the office is now almost 10 miles.
- Vanilla Big Train chai with All Enjoy creamer, plus the backup cup — the new way of mixing the peaches in is paying off, two peach cubes and all.
- Where to listen: podstreamerai.com/thenewsaccordingtome, where you can get notified when a show goes live and go back through the recorded ones.
- *In Search Of* with Leonard Nimoy as the honest framing for this whole program: all conjecture, all presumption.
- The panel — Leonard, Elena, and Artie — on the Russia diesel agreement and whether it hands Putin better position at the table. Their audio never made it to the live stream, so you hear the host's half.
- Does Trump have an ace up his sleeve? In the first term we didn't learn what he actually said to Putin until it was over. Why assume full transparency now.
- Whether the Russia-Ukraine noise is covering what's really moving with Iran.
- Billy Bob's call: she married her brother, the statute of limitations on the immigration fraud, and why each new filing might restart the clock. Plus the money and campaign finance allegations.
- How many conspiracy theories turned out true and ended up on page five. If voting is legal for you, why would ICE at the booth bother you.
- Clips with commentary: Hassan Piker in a suit and tie, never making eye contact, eyes on a screen the whole interview. A Mamdani event where even the security looked scared. Kyle Kalinsky insisting it's a psyop. Steve Martin's nonconformist oath.
- Live troubleshooting at the end — not the browser, something wrong in the plumbing behind the scenes on this machine.
- Coming up: Theological Thursday early from the home studio, and Friday from the road somewhere. Providence, maybe.
